Unusual Places to Drink in LDN

Europe, especially London, is a great place to be if you’re in need of a drink! Wine, Pimms, bubbly, beer…whatever your preference, you can find it here….and just about anywhere! Here is a list of some of the more unusual spots you can get your drink on:

Charles Worthington in the West End and The King’s Canary in Fitzrovia are two fabulous hair salons where you can sip a glass of bubbly as you discuss your cut, colour, or latest breakup with your hairdresser.

Nails Inc

Pamper your nails and your taste buds by visiting
Coco Nail Bar in Notting Hill or Nails Inc. at Harvey Nichols Knightsbridge. The latter comes with a complimentary glass of champagne, while the former offers an exclusive drinks bar. This would be a great place to organise a girl’s day out.

Polo in the Park

While it’s illegal for football fans to drink in the stadium, there are many other sporting events where having a (fill in the blank) is all part of the experience. Play word association with a tennis fan, and “Wimbledon” will instantly be followed by the word “Pimms.” This summer, visit Polo in the Park, Wimbledon, or a cricket match and drink in the competition.

Cuddle up with a glass of wine and decadent piece of chocolate cake at the ever-glamorous Electric Cinema in Notting Hill. For a more reasonable price, visit any of the Everyman Cinemas for the same drink options. Another favourite is The Roxy in south London, where you’ll feel right at home on one of their vintage leather couches.

regents park
When was the last time you went on a picnic? Pack up the sandwiches and bottle of wine, and head over to one of London’s green sanctuaries. My personal favourites are Hyde Park, Regent’s Park, Kew Gardens, and of course, my local patch of grass, Brockwell Park. Oh but who are we kidding? They’re all amazing!
